Students from 3 Ciaran took part in a competition in conjunction with Cork County Library. The competition was to dramatise a book or play and make a two minute film. Our students got wonderful Ceritificates with special commendations for their efforts.
Students from CPB receiving an award at the West Cork Ed. Centre, Dunmanway, for the movie made by them recently. The movie entitled ‘Around Bantry Square’ was made with the support of Victor Hayes and the W.Cork School Completion Programme. It is part of the Film in Schools initiative.
On 25th April and the 9th May all First Years had the opportunity to attend Blackwater Adventure Centre in Castletownroache, Cork. Activities included zip lining, zorbing, river tubing and the giant swing. A fantastic day was had by all!
Recently in line with the opening of the school pitch Coláiste Pobail Bheanntraí held an intra-school Ladies Football Blitz. 3rd Year, Transition Year, 5th Year and 6th Year students all took part. There were some very close games and a fun time was had by all involved!
Colaiste Pobail Bheanntrai defeated Clonakilty Community College to win the ‘Aidan Ross’ Cup for the first time. The Aidan Ross Cup is for 10-a-side teams of players born in 1998 or later who are attending colleges in West Cork. Six teams competed this year with Bantry emerging as winners against Clonakility College. Well done…
