The students were also presented with an information leaflet, produced by the ‘Lions Club’ organization, and provided to the school by the Bantry branch of the ‘Lions Club’, on the topic of bullying and cyberbullying. The leaflet contains vital information on bullying for parents/guardians, including advice on identifying bullying, the characteristic indicators of bullying, dealing effectively with a bullying issue and details of support services available for those troubled by bullying. –please ensure that you receive and read the contents of the aforementioned information pack and leaflet. The presentation on Cyberbullying by the Community Garda was timely, happening as it did on the same week that a bullying survey was conducted for all 1st year students in the school, on Wednesday, 9th December 2015, the survey being completed on an anonymous basis in order to encourage reporting of incidents of bullying.
