1st Year A Girls Basketball played Skibbereen CC.

Our 1st year A girls played Skibbereen Community School at home last week. Unfortunately, it wasn’t our day and they have narrowly missed out on making it through to the quarter finals. These girls have shown enormous commitment and dedication to the game playing at the highest level against the top schools in Cork. Never giving up and never backing down. They are a credit to our school and should be very proud of themselves. A special mention to Ava Clancy, Mia Hegarty and Ciara Kelly, who are new to basketball and contributed massively to this team. Also a special thank you to Alannah McCarthy Downing who helped us out on two occasions when we wouldn’t have had enough players to make a team.
We look forward to next year already!
