Our Senior boys faced at Brogans in the Munster Quarter Final today at Inter Kenmare FC’s astro. A very strong Brogans team attacked our goal relentlessly in the first 20 minutes with the defence holding strong. Before half time Bantry nearly scored two counter attacking goals. Bantry changed our shape for the second half and we were a vastly improved team, creating some excellent chances. At the other end our goalie Luke O’Sullivan made some serious saves to stop Brogans from going further ahead. At the end of the day Brogans ran out winners 2-0, a scoreline which didn’t reflect how close the game really was.
Even though we’re knocked out of Munster, we have a Cork Trophy quarter final to look forward to. Best of luck to Brogans moving forward and to our own boys in the Cork Trophy.
