On Friday the 1st year boys soccer team played Ashton Comprehensive in the Munster Cup at home. CPB showed great energy from the start with two great first half goals, the first from Micheal Coppinger. Max Leahy scored CPB’s second after making a blistering run to slot the ball cooly into the back of the net. Ashton scored a goal before half time to keep the tie very much in the balance. After the half time break the boys stormed into the game with Micheal completing his hattrick and Conor J Hourihan adding a goal of his own. Conor Sheedy was tenacious in the tackle and displayed brilliant passing throughout. Conor D Hourihan was rock solid in goals with great saves and excellent distribution. Rory Breen had some great shots during the game. Well done to the CPB team on a great performance.
