On Thursday our senior boys football team took on Coachford College away in Clonakilty GAA grounds in the Corks Senior B football Championship. The CPB lads started slow but points from DJ O’Brien, Liam Hourihan and accurate free kicks from Thomas O’Donoghue kept them in the game. The score at half time was CPB 0-9 Coachford College 1-10 . The second half started and with CPB pushing hard for scores midfielder Cathal McCarthy scored a super goal. This was followed by a brilliant penalty save from goalie Luke O’Sullivan. It was a solid team performance, but they were unlucky towards the end with Coachford pulling away. The final score was CPB 1-12 Coachford College 1-22. The boys have the Munster C senior football next.
