On Friday our First Year “A” Boys basketball team played the North Mon AG at home in Coláiste Pobail. The Bantry boys got off to a great start with scores from Eoin McCarthy, Mike Hayden, Harry Curran and Donnacha Cronin Murphy, while Eoghan Dullea was playing exceptional defense on the North Mon top player, Charlie Barry.
In the second quarter Charlie Downey dominated the scoreboards while Dylan Barry, Calvin O’ Brien , Conor O’ Mahony and Alex Cronin all contributed good scores. The second half was a tighter affair but the big lead that the Bantry School built up in the first half couldn’t be caught. Well done to Callum Connolly on his first game.
