Yesterday our u16 hurlers played Coláiste Pobail Naomh Mhuire in Munster competition in windy conditions in Banteer. CPB had strong performers all over the field in a high scoring game. The opposition built a strong lead in the first half. In the second half CPB regrouped and performed well outscoring the opposition by 2 points. In defence Dara Coppinger and Conor Daly were solid along with the entire defensive unit. Billy O’Mahony did really well making in goals one particularly excellent save. Thomas O’Donoghue had a great game at centre back while DJ O’Brien and Cathal McCarthy displayed great dominance in the middle of the field. Tom O’Donnell scored 2-4 of CPB’s total, a really great shooting display. Unfortunately Coláiste Pobail Naomh Mhuire held on for victory but well done to all the lads!
