On Thursday our 2nd year girls contested a tight affair against Crosshaven. All players made a great contribution to the game. At the end of the first quarter it was 2 points a piece. Ella Foley, Norah Cronin and Faye Hurley were excellent on rebounds. In the second quarter Crosshaven’s shots started to drop and CPB found themselves trailing 6 -12 at half time. However the third quarter was all about the home team as they outscored Crosshaven by 12 points to 2. CPB kept up the intensity for the final quarter and won 28-16 in the end. Rachel Crowley and Sophie O’Sullivan gave a great passing display. Nadia Ustjanowska worked tirelessly carrying ball and contributed some nice scores also. Lisa Buckley, Abbie O’Sullivan and Emma Barry impressed on defence as well as offence with great steals and scores. Lisa O’Sullivan showed great work ethic to get free and be a constant option to receive passes. Overall, it was a great team performance to battle back and take the win. Well done girls!
