On Friday the Colaiste Pobail Bheanntrai Senior Cup team will face Castletroy College in the 1st round of the Pinergy Munster Senior Cup in Thomond Park creating history for the school.
The school has come agonisingly close on a number of occasions over the last number of years but finally the squad of 2021/22 has made it.
The whole squad has put in a lot of hard work since the start of the season and over the Christmas season there was no let up with a joint training session with Bandon Grammer and multiple training/fitness sessions during the festive period.
The attitude showen by all the squad has been top class.
A number of the squad involved qualified for the Munster Junior Cup back in 2020 and have carried that experience forwards and they were the first ‘B’ School to beat a ‘A’ school in the Junior Cup that year and it just so happened to be Castletroy College so who knows come Friday what might happen we will just have to wait and see
