Today our #SeriousSupport Lidl LGFA Workshop group made up of TY and 2nd year girls hosted a blitz for the 6th class girls in the local feeder primary schools. We have great numbers in attendance with teams from Our Lady of Mercy, Kilcrohane, Dromore, Scoil Fhiachna and Gaelscoil Bheanntraí. Each team played 5 games. These games were non-competitive as the focus of the programme is to promote participation and activity amongst girls and most importantly FUN! The football was followed by fun games of rounders and Rob The Nest where all the schools were mixed to allow the girls to mix. Lidl Bantry kindly sponsored fruit, juices and snacks for the girls to enjoy after. Well done to all the students who helped to coach, referee, coordinate and run the event. We would also like to say a big thank you to all the schools who attended.
