On Wednesday 25th January CPB girls rugby made history as the first ever team to play and win their first round of Junior Cup. CPB faced Villiers College in what proved to be a dominant team performance from the girls with a fantastic 30 girls togged out. Everyone on the panel deserves great credit for their teamwork and skills on display. Alice O’Donovan had an exceptional game and made lots of ground for CPB. Muireann McCarthy and Nora Fox worked tirelessly clearing rucks. Mary Fox gained great ground for CPB and was a strong ball carrier. Annie Doody really controlled the game at no.9 alongside Leah Hicks. Tries on the day came from Muireann McCarthy, Nora Fox, Alice O’Donovan and Grace Kingston. Leah Hicks was in fine form slotting over six conversions. A huge well done to all the girls, especially to all those playing their first rugby game. Best of luck in the next round in the coming weeks!
