An information evening for parents on ‘Promoting good mental health in your teenager’ has been arranged for Tuesday 22nd November at 7.30pm at Coláiste Pobail Bheanntraí. We, as parents, recognise the huge pressures our teenagers are under and we hope to provide parents with some information and practical advice on how to help your teenagers achieve good mental health and wellbeing.
Speakers will include Antoinette White from the Samaritans, Mary Coakley and Donna Treya, Counsellors, and Finbarr Walsh who set up the Donal Walsh Live Life Foundation and has a special interest in young people’s mental health. Donal reminded people that no matter how bad your problem is there is help out there.
The event is organised by The Parents’ Association and everybody is welcome.
There is no charge but a voluntary contribution to the Samaritans will be gratefully accepted.
