On Tuesday our u19 boys soccer team played Skibbereen in a very entertaining contest. Skibbereen started off strong with an early goal but CPB did not let that affect them with a hattrick from Ryan O’Sullivan before the half time whistle leaving CPB with a comfortable lead. Eli Reynolds kept Skibbereen defenders busy with his pace and runs over the top with beautiful passing vision from Ryan O’Boy while Chris Cronin and Joe Egan were not giving Skibbereen any chances at midfield along with a great defensive line of Patryk Gacek, Max Barrett and Cillian O’Sullivan. Calvin Cronin was very good at keeping possession in the middle of the field as Dylan Barry O’Callaghan came on and added a fourth goal. Skibbereen did not drop the heads as they got a goal late in the second half but there wasn’t enough time to defeat the CPB boys.
