Our senior Boy’s Basketball team were beaten by Presentation De La Salle Bagnalstown of Carlow on Sunday afternoon in Carlow in what was a thrilling match. CPB got off to a great start with two three point efforts from Rory Fitzgerald and two inside layups from Eoghan O’ Donoghue. Bantry held the lead through excellent Point Guard drives from Captain Mark O’ Sullivan and outside shots from Luke Salter Townshend and Ronan O’ Sullivan. Ethan Hanley and Darragh O’ Brien also began to make impressions on a game in which the lead swung both ways in the final quarter but strength in depth on the day got the Carlow side over the line eventually. Thanks to the players and parents who made the long and early morning trip to Carlow. Onwards and upwards for our senior Boys who are straight back to training on Monday evening!
