Today our senior boys footballers played Rochestown College at home in the Simcox Cup Quarter Final. Paddy Cronin converted a well taken free to register the opening score of the game. After this Rochestown scored a goal and a couple of unanswered points before Ben O’Sullivan raised a white flag again for CPB. Jack Sheedy and Mark O’Sullivan turned over great possession in defence, ably assisted by the whole defensive unit. Dara Sheedy, Jack Sheedy and Kian Kelleher also scored points while Paddy Cronin scored CPB’s only goal of the game. Robert Cronin fielded some great ball in midfield and Dan Andrews provided some great runs looking for possession in the forwards. Unfortunately Rochestown proved too strong and won well in the end. Well done to all the CPB lads for their success so far in this competition
Scorers: Paddy C 1-3, Ben O’S 0-1, Dara S 0-1, Jack S 0-1, Kian K 0-1
