TY students Meadhbh Sammon, Tempy Stock, Lucy Connolly, Annie Coppinger and Roisin Murnane presented to Coleman Keohane, managing director of Keohane Seafoods, on Wednesday 17th May on Energy (renewable) options for the business. The students have been working with John Milner, Sustainability Coordinator at Keohane Seafoods, since January researching renewable energy options and made recommendations based on this in their presentation. The research unearthed some really interesting facts and figures about Ireland’s energy generation in comparison to Europe and the World as well as the advantages and disadvantages of various renewable energy sources. It was a great experience for the students in research and presentation skills. We look forward to a continued relationship with Keohane Seafoods as they continue on their sustainability journey. A huge thanks to John Milner for his time dedicated to working with our students for a second year after last years success.
