On Monday 7th October our U16 boy’s basketball team faced off against St Brogan’s of Bandon. By the end of the second quarter the boy’s had a disheartening score of 18-33 but the team were persistent to make a comeback resulting in a final score of 31-37.
it was an intense and challenging game well played by the boys. There were excellent performances from Con Desmond and Dara O’Sullivan, accounting for multiple baskets and free throws. Stephen Collins and Colum O’Connor worked together to rebound and block the ball from their opposition which allowed Joey Sheehan to score his two three pointers.
Well done to the lads for pushing themselves until the very end. They were unlucky to lose on the day.
