The U16C Boys basketball team put in a spirited performance on Friday but were outplayed by a talented Beara side, losing 44-26. Despite the scoreline, the boys showed plenty of determination and effort throughout the match.
Beara started strong, quickly building a lead with fast-paced play, but the U16C Boys didn’t back down. Con Desmond stood out with some sharp shooting, while Ronan Kennan and Stephen Collins worked tirelessly on defence, giving the team key moments of momentum.
At halftime, Beara led , but the U16C Boys came out fighting in the second half, continuing to battle for every possession. Though Beara’s strength proved too much in the end, the boys never gave up and kept pushing until the final whistle.
