Our Under 19C Boys Basketball team celebrated back-to-back victories this week after a thrilling game against St. Brogan’s of Bandon on Thursday afternoon. Charlie Swayne and Thomas O’Donoghue set the pace early with strong opening scores, helping CPB take control in the first quarter. By halftime, all 12 players in the squad had seen action on the floor, with CPB narrowly leading 22-20.
In the third quarter, Evin Harrington’s sharp passing created key scoring opportunities for teammates, while Christopher Cronin and Shay O’Donovan ramped up the offense. Tom Fitzgerald found his stride from the three-point line, helping CPB pull ahead with a final score of 46-37.
Thomas O’Donoghue proved invaluable once again, tallying 14 points and securing multiple rebounds on both ends of the court. Contributions from Con Healy, Cian Hayden, Emil Koch, Chris O’Shea, Darragh O’ Shea and Colm French rounded out a solid team performance in what was an excellent game for the Bantry boys.
