Hard luck to our u19 girls basketball team who lost out to St Angelas on Friday at home. St Angelas started the game really well and CPB found themselves trailing at the end of the first quarter 4-16. However the CPB girls found their rhythm and scored some great baskets. Lily O’Sullivan had a great shooting game with a personal tally of 13, scoring a wonderful 3 pointer in the 3rd quarter. Faye Murnane was excellent on defence as well as Lainey Barry and Molly McCarthy who had many great steals to set up CPB attacks. It was a solid team performance with all players giving their all against a strong opposition.
