Colaiste Pobail Bheanntrai Leaving Cert 2023 student Thomas O’Donovan was selected as one of four Irish writers between the ages of 18-26 to attend the West Cork Literary Festival 2023 as a Young Writer Delegate. Throughout this programme, Thomas was mentored by comedian Maeve Higgins, attended events free of charge, hosted a showcase with the other delegates and wrote an article for the Irish Writers Centre website. On top of this, he has recently had his work, ‘On Writing’ published in the @paperlanterns_lit teen literary, issue 12 journal where he was selected as one of the winners of their personal essay competition.
