On Tuesday, as part of our commitment to inclusive sport, we hosted a wheelchair basketball tournament with visiting teams from Coláiste Choilm Ballincollig, Coláiste Ghobnatan, and Coláiste an Phiarsaigh, alongside our own team from Coláiste Pobail Bheanntraí.
It was a fantastic day of sport and inclusion, with the top two teams—CPB and Coláiste Choilm—meeting in a thrilling final. Despite an early 10-point deficit, CPB mounted a spirited comeback to clinch a narrow two-point victory.
The event was a great example of inclusivity in action. Thank you to the visiting schools and their coaches, to Ms Elise Shannon for her dedication to wheelchair basketball this year, Mr Trevor Hogan for his coaching support, Mr Curran for organising the event, Saffron Hogan for her help on the day, and Mr Adam Salter Townshend for refereeing the matches.
Well done to all involved!
