We have 7 students at County Hall for the AGM of the County Cork Comhairle na nOg, that’s the youth section of Cork County Council. They have taken over the council chamber for the day and the importance of the voices of young people was stressed by all speakers including Clr. John Paul O’Shea who addressed the meeting. The event was also attended by County Mayor, Clr. Danny Collins. Topics dealt with by Comhairle include climate, rural development, transport and gender equality.

Padraig Harrington has been a member of Comhairle for the last two years and is part of the organising team today. TJ Hourihan, co-ordinator of the Comhairle, has spoken very highly of Padraig and his involvement over the last 2 years.
They are all great ambassadors for the school and the Bantry area in taking this opportunity to make real changes in the lives of young people.
