We were delighted to welcome Bantry Business Association Chairperson, Danielle Delaney along with Diarmuid Murphy, The Fish Kitchen and Karen Townshend, AIB, to judge the Enterprise competition in school on Thursday. Starting with 19 companies in September, it was whittled down to the best 10 companies who submitted Business Reports to the judges last week. The judges interviewed the students and after much deliberation, the following groups were deservedly announced as winners to go through to the next stage of the competition.
1st: Eco Design: Bebhinn Horstmanshoff, Alaina O Brien, Alva Sjoeberg
2nd Enkindle: Samantha Sunga, Aoibhe Barry, Eimear Courcey & Aleezah Bangloy
3rd: Bantry Barks: Grace Kingston, Emma Flynn, Abbey Connolly, Molly Smith & Maria Barry
Best social enterprise: SOAP: Shane Downey, Eoin Carver & Conor Cadogan
Best Innovation: Cosmetics & Co: Ella Kelleher & John Coughlan
