Congratulations to our under 19 Boys basketball team who defeated Waterpark College, Waterford in the last 16 of the Subway Ireland Schools National Cup on Wednesday on a scoreline of 56 to 33. John Enderson did most of the scoring damage with a total of 21 points, Liam Cotter who scored 9 and Shane Murray who got 8 points. There were excellent performances throughout the squad with each player getting ample court time. Sean Brady and school captain Matthew Barry excelled with a fantastic point guard performance from Kevin Clifford also. Next up in the National Cup is a quarter final away to the winners of the North Monastery, Cork and St Munchins of Limerick.
