We finally got clarification on how to enter the golf competitions from Golf Ireland. Apologies for the earlier confusion.
Please read the following:
Players can enter individually.
You must be a member of a golf club and hold an official handicap.
You will not be charged until you have made the field.
The team element can be confirmed later as all players may not get into the field.

The 2023-2024 Irish Schools competition season gets underway in September with significant format changes.
The competition categories – Junior (Under-16) and Senior (Under-19) – will remain as before for Boys and Girls but for the first time all of the competitions will be open for entry by individuals and the primary competition in each category will be individual.
Competition dates and venues for Coláiste Pobail Bheanntraí is as follows:
Senior Girls and Boys (U19):
- Mallow GC – Click HERE
Junior Girls and Boys (U16):
- Cahir Park GC – Click HERE
The regulations for the competitions have also been overhauled, with all four competitions being contested in a stableford format (net for the Junior Championships at Boys and Girls level and gross in the Senior Championships at Boys and Girls level – although at Senior level there will also be net prizes on offer).
In a nod to the past format of the events, there will still be a team format, with teams being confirmed by Schools based on the available individual entries received at each venue.
The full competition regulations can be viewed HERE.
In order to ensure the competitions can be concluded at regional level, the entry deadlines applying to each competition are non-negotiable.
Where entries in a competition venue are oversubscribed, an entrant may be offered a place in another venue within the region.
Entry fee is €10.00 per person which will include a light lunch.
