Over the summer period Youth players involved with Munster Rugby squads have been training hard to play in the Interpros series.The school has 5 players involved in these squads.Munster U18 girls-Saskia Wycherley and Niamh McCarthy.Both players played last Saturday against Connacht. Saskia was captain and Niamh made her Munster debut coming on and scoring a try.Munster U18 Clubs-Dylan Hicks and Michael O’Donovan have played in all of the 3 match series.Dylan is captain.Losing out to Leinster in their first match in Dublin and both players putting in a great performance against Ulster to come away with the win in front of a home crowd in Musgrave Park last Saturday.Munster U19.Daire Kingston is in the U19 squad who have played 2 matches losing out to Leinster in their first and beating Ulster last weekend in Musgrave Park.Both boys teams played their final Interpro game on Sunday in Limerick against Connacht and the girls played 2 games in Musgrave Park against Ulster and Leinster.
Congratulations to Sophie O’ Sullivan on signing with Cork City WU17s during the summer – She has been a fantastic player for Bay Rovers/Kilgoban Celtic over the years and her hard work and dedication is an inspiration for all of our younger girls and boys to make the most of their talents.
