On Friday the Junior girls soccer team played Fermoy in the Cork FAI Cup at home. This proved to be a close encounter with both sides giving a great display of skill. The deadlock was broken in the first half by Maggie O’Donoghue to put CPB in the lead at halftime 1-0. In the second half Fermoy scored a goal of their own but Michaela O’Sullivan was on hand to ensure CPB got the victory with a great goal. Amy O’ Donovan was excellent in goals making lots of important saves. Lauren Connell put in a great shift making herself available all over the pitch. Mar Doblado provided great assists and Ella Foley was brilliant in defence. Well done girls on a great result!
