The U16 boys soccer team played Schull Community College in their first round of the Cork Cup last week in very poor conditions. Both teams started well with the Schull goalkeeper stepping up with three world class saves to deny CPB. Against the run of play CPB nearly conceded a goal, but good defence by Thomas O’Donoghue saved us on that occasion. Shortly after CPB opened the scoring by half time were leading 3-1. CPB continued to play some fantastic football on the second half and managed to score a few more goals. Well done to the squad who will face Clonakilty in the next round at home on 15th December.
