On Monday the U16 girls basketball team player Coláiste Choilm at home. In a highly entertaining game the CPB girls showed great teamwork and attitude to get the win in the dying minutes of the fourth quarter. Mar Doblado, Abbie O’Sullivan and Lisa O’Sullivan were the scorers in the first quarter with the girls trailing 8 to 11. The opposition kept a four point lead in the second and third quarters. Norah Cronin and Sophie O’Sullivan were excellent on defence and rebounds. Nadia Usjanowski moved the ball well throughout. The fourth quarter was high intensity as CPB snatched the win with scores from Nadia, Abbie and Rachel while the team worked hard to ensure the opposition couldn’t find the scores they needed. A great game by the whole panel and a fantastic win!
