On Wednesday our U19 boys soccer team played Hamilton Highschool in the second round of the Cork Cup. The first half saw Brian Connell score an excellent goal to get CPB off the mark while the opposition scored twice. Try as they might in the second half CPB could not find the equaliser. Unfortunately Hamilton Highschool scored their third to leave a final score of 3-1 to the opposition. It was a strong performance from the CPB boys with brilliant defending from Alex Cronin and Phillip Harrington. Callum McElhinney was excellent on frees with Luke Salter Townshend providing great crosses into the opposition box. Ryan O’Boy and Brian Connell were excellent in attack making great runs.
