On Tuesday our u16 girls basketball team played Coláiste Mhuire AG away in the South Basketball League. It was a close contest from start to finish with CPB only having a two point lead after the first quarter. They further extended by half time with the score 19-12 in CPB’s favour. However, Colaiste Mhuire took their scores well to take the lead in the third quarter. Although CPB battled hard the opposition had a strong fourth quarter to ensure victory. Nadia Ustjanowski displayed great ball handling skills contributing 11 points during the game. There was excellent rebounding from Ella Foley and Faye Hurley while Norah Cronin had a great defensive game. Sophie O’Sullivan scored 11 points and Abbie O’Sullivan added 9 points to CPB’s tally. Final score CPB 31 Colaiste Mhuire 43. Hard luck girls!
