A huge well done to 25 students who participated in the Cross Country challenge races held in Riverstick Kinsale last Friday.The students were accompanied by Ms. McElhinney and Ms. Lynch
First year girls had a great race with two of our students running. We had four students running in the second / third year girls race who put in a huge performance to take Silver for the team. Then it was the first year boys’ turn to race and we had five student in this race .. it was dominated by Darragh Coppinger who had a fantastic race and crossed the line in first place.
Next up was the second / third year boys and we had 8 of our students in this race. There was huge competition in this race and the boys ran solidly. For the final race of the day, we had six of our fourth / fifth year boys running. The race was 3k and was an exciting one to watch. The boys took home team gold. Overall a big well done to all who took part in the races.
