Our Boys under 15 Basketball team made it four wins from four in their Basketball Ireland South Region Pool today with a win against Mount St. Michaels of Rosscarbery and guarenteed themselves a Cork Regional Semi Final in the process. Should they win their final home game against Carrigaline Community School next week they will be rewarded with home advantage for the semi final match. Owen Crowley was an early scorer in the first quarter to get CPB off the mark and Charlie Curran added scores to the tally early on to give CPB a lead going into the second quarter. James Keane also picked up a number of great score in Q1 and Cathal McCarthy who played his best game for CPB so far took control on rebounds. Jack Phillips increased the lead with some great scores in the second quarter aided also by Paddy Russel who also picked up some great rebounds. Jack Gibbons also got his name on the scoresheet. In the second half the lead became bigger but Rosscarbery kept fighting until the last buzzer. Ryan Connolly was excellent in only his 2nd game for the school and a special word for the two first years Darragh Dullea who played brilliantly deputising for the injured captain Oscar Dooday and James Murphy who played instead of his injured big brother Tom. Well done lads!
