Well done to our boys senior footballers today who beat Beara Community School in the schools county championship. Beara came into the game as recent All-Ireland champions, but a great team effort ensured CPB ran out a deserved 8 point winners. In defence Sean Cronin, Thomas Cunney and Cillian O’Brien were tenacious and ensured Beara forwards found it very difficult to cause any major damage on the scoreboard. Alan Kelleher & Dara McCarthy won their midfield battle which gave CPB a great platform to work off. While up front, in particular the shooting of Callum McElhinney, Jack Sheedy & Alex Young put CPB into an early lead, which they never relinquished. Our lads now progress to the County Quarter-Final. Well done to all!
