On Thursday before midterm our Cross Country runners travelled to Tramore Park, Cork, for the South Munster Competition. It was a very successful day out.
A special shout out to our gold medalist Seán Lawton, won gold in the senior boys race. He also led our senior boys to win bronze team medals. Congratulations to Callum McElhinney, Luke Salter-Townsend, and Paddy Desmond, whose finish positions were added up to win these medals. The senior boys will go on to represent our school at the upcoming Munsters in Waterford on February 24th.
Individually, all top 15 finishers qualify for the Munster competition also. Along with Seán and Callum, our other athletes who have qualified include Darragh Coppinger (junior boys) and Anna Towns (intermediate girls).
Congratulations all!
