Well done to our under 16 boys basketball team who finished top of their pool today after a convincing win over Kinsale Community College. Jack Phillips what is top scorer 22 points followed by some great scoring from James Keane and Jack Gibbons. James Murphy was at his usual best and was aided brilliantly by his teammate Cathal McCarthy who put in a great shift on rebounds also. Charlie Curran excellent point guard and created a lot of shot opportunities for his teammate Jack Phillips. Killian Hurley came into the game and the second year did some great work on defense and scored a lot going into third and fourth quarter. Paddy Russel was at his usual solid best with excellent rebounds and plenty scores also.
The boys can look forward to a home South Regional Quarter Final after midterm on the back of going unbeaten in their group.
