Hard luck to our Under 19 basketball team just lost out to Kinsale Community College in the top of the table clash today in Kinsale. The Boys went into an early lead after great work in the press by Guido Toniola, Cian Keohane and Charlie Curran. The boys took at 18 -13 lead into quarter two. Kinsale came back in the second quarter but Jack Phillips found his scoring range and Kept Bantry in the game. Ethan Hanley got some very important scores from his own rebounds. Shane Murnane also got some great rebounds and scores and Paddy Russell also made an impact on the game.
It was Score for score in the last quarter but Kinsale finally edged it by 4/points.
The boys will still qualify for quarter-final place from their position in the table and they will play that after the midterm. Well done to all!
