Anti Bullying & Cyberbullying Seminar
Coláiste Pobail Bheanntraí
Tuesday, 26th November @ 7:00 pm
Dear Parent/Guardian.
A key topic of concern to parents arising from our PA parents survey was how to combat bullying and cyberbullying. A Nationwide Study of Bullying in Irish schools indicates that 1 in 6 Secondary School students have been bullied at some time. In response the Parents Association has organized an evening seminar for parents on Bullying & Cyberbullying on Tuesday 26th, November @ 7:00 pm sharp in the school.
We have an excellent speaker from the National Parents Council on the topic, and we are very pleased to have our Principal, and Deputy Principal speaking on the night.
Some of the topics which will be covered on the night include :
Bullying – Types of Bullying – CyberbullyingIs my child being bullied ?
What can I say & do if my child is being bullied ? New Department of Education Guidelines on Bullying CPB School Policies & Procedures on handling bullying Top Tips on handling Bullying Interactive Q & A

The objective of this meeting is to educate us as parents in relation to the issues surrounding bullying and to inform us as to the practical steps we can take to deal with the issue. We would urge all interested parents to attend.
The meeting will begin at 7.00pm sharp but doors will open at 6:45pm and we would urge you to come early as places may have to be limited.
