Well done to the following school athletes who qualified from the South Munster competitions, to compete in last Saturdays Munster’s schools event. Stephen Holland competed in the Senior Boys 800m and was placed 5th. Liam Cotter competed in the Junior Boys 80m hurdles and took the bronze medal. Darragh McElhinney ran a fine race in the Minor Boys 800m to take the gold medal and beat his personal best time for this event. We wish Niamh Cotter a speedy recovery from her hand injury. We congratulate Caoimhe Harrington on being the March recipient of the prestigious Cork City Sports Award. This will be presented to her at a reception in the River Lee Hotel on Friday May 30th. We look forward to a very promising 2014/15 season in CPB school athletics.
