On Friday 14 November twenty nine 1st Year students joined the Coláiste Pobail Bheanntraí Young Pioneers Centre. They were presented with their pins by Robert Shannon the President of the Pioneers Association. Young Pioneers pledge to abstain from alcoholic drinks until the age of 18 and to keep off illicit drugs for life.
