Niamh Quain from Cork’s Simon Community visited our school on Thursday, 9th Feb. to give a presentation on the issue of homelessness to some of our First Year C.S.P.E groups. The students found it very beneficial.
Afterwards Niamh met the Student Council who handed over almost 600 Euros, the proceeds of the Christmas Jumper Appeal they organised.
3rd Year Gael stream students also presented boxes of various items that they had collected from local businesses in the run up to Christmas. Thank you to all those businesses who donated very useful products. These will be given to homeless people in Cork.
