On Thursday CPB senior and junior girls took part in a 7s blitz in Ballincollig.
In their first game, the juniors played Clonakilty. Seren opened CPB’s account by scoring their first try, which was followed by Annie who scored a second try, against very strong opposition.
In the next game, the CPB girls played Mallow. There was amazing communication by all girls. A great pass to Grace resulted in a try. Seren displayed amazing speed to run to the line and score a brilliant try. There was great strength shown by Hailey to escape a tackle and run straight to the line.
In the final game CPB juniors played Cobh. Just a few minutes into the game there was an amazing first try by Alice, who chipped the ball over the opposition, regathered and ran for the line. There was great communication and an accurate to Sophie who scored. To finish off there were super tries by Maddie & Emma.
The seniors first game was against Kinsale. Kinsale started stronger but CPB came back into the game, as Molly gave an amazing pass to Grace who ran over the line and scored the first try. There was great foot work by Molly to get away from a double tackle and scored a second try. Mary and Abbey gave lovely passes and great teamwork by all girls to score two more tries.
Their second game was against Dingle. Molly scored the first try. Abbey evaded the opposition brilliantly to score another try. Grace put in some strong tackles. Leah has some strong carries, and Ellie was aggressive at the ruck. CPB scored two more tries.
In the final game the girls played Clonakilty, who had extremely fast line speed and were very aggressive over the ball. CPB heads never fell, and the girls continued to make the tackles and look for the gaps. Mary Fox showed some brilliant strength carrying tbe ball, Laura had some good tackles and there were great passes by Abbey to lead to an amazing try by Maggie. Well done to all girls they all played brilliantly.
