CPB U16A Boys Secure Knockout Spot with Dominant Win Over Skibbereen

On Tuesday our U16A Boys Basketball team made sure of their qualification to the knockout stages of the South Schools League by virtue of a fantastic win over neighbours Skibbereen Community School. They took a 10-8 lead into the second quarter through some great breakaway scores from Ismael Rodriquez and great offensive play from Steven O’ Sullivan. The Bantry boys were also overpowering the Skibbereen defense with 8 offensive rebounds in the first quarter. The second quarter and third was where the Bantry Boys took over. Tom Conlon and Darragh Coppinger began to impress offensively and the physicality of Seán Collins and James Cronin began to overpower the smaller Skibbereen team. Billy O’ Mahony, Conor O’ Sullivan and Matthew Kozlowski were introduced and all played their part in a fantastic team performance.
