Our U19A Boys Basketball team put in a very good performance against a very Strong St Aidans team on Thursday. Physically, St Aidans were very tall and strong and while the Bantry Boys struggled in the first quarter they got into a better rhythm in the second and third with some excellent scores from Jack Phillips, Ismael Rodriquez and Fionn Goggin. Paddy Russell, James Murphy and Alex Nel began to rebound very well and Cathal McCarthy dealt very well with star St Aidans player Seán Noonan. A special mention to the under 16’s James Cronin and Steven O’ Sullivan who came in and played really well. St Aidans took the win 56-31.
