On Thursday morning , our boys u19c basketballers faced Schull at home in what would prove to be a close encounter. CPB started well with baskets from shay o’donovan and good passing from Evan Harrington gave CPB a convincing 12-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, Schull grew into the game and by the end of the 2nd quarter the game was level at 20 points each.
In the 3rd quarter , Thomas O’Donoghue won many rebounds on defence as CPB regained the lead and were up by 6 points going into the final quarter. CPB ended up winning the game by a narrow margin of 4 points against a strong Schull side.
