A General Information Evening on Assistive Technology for Students with Disabilities will be held in The Maritime Hotel Bantry on Thursday September 19th (This event is free of charge and all follow up training is free of charge also.) I invite all local schools to attend, students, teachers, SNAs, parents are all welcome
Participants on the night will receive a presentation outlining the different types of technologies available to help students with disabilities/learning difficulties maximise their academic potential. A UCC student will also speak on the importance of AT in their education experience.
At the end of the evening requests from students, parents, SNAs and teachers for further, more specific training in Assistive Technology will be gathered and the relevant, follow up training will be scheduled. Students, parents, educational professionals and all those with an interest in enabling students with disabling students with disabilities are welcome.
