LCA 2 Students Dive into Road Safety Education at Bantry Driving Academy with Practical Lessons and Insights from Garda Brigid

On Thursday last our LCA 2 students visited Bantry Driving Academy as part of their Contemporary Issues Task for their Social Education Module.

The students are researching Road Safety and Mary and her team at Bantry Driving Academy provided lots of opportunity to test out their knowledge of car maintenance, the rules of the road, the use of the beer goggles to show how alcohol can alter our reactions on the road and some time driving on the practice track.

Garda Brigid also visited Bantry Driving Academy where she spoke to the students about what they are looking for when they stop young drivers, the consequences of drink and drug driving and most importantly what actions they should take if they ever find themselves in an accident.
