Congratulations to Hazel Harrington and Deirdre O’Sullivan on qualifying for the semi-final of the Macroom Food Festival Cook Off 2013 .Their dish of Pan fried Bantry Bay Scallops with Gubeen chorizo and Clonakility Black pudding served with a fresh butternut squash puree and white wine sauce accompanied with a Confit potato is sure to be a winner. The girls are no strangers to success with Deirdre taking First Prize in the Colaiste Pobail Bheanntrai MasterChef 2012 and Hazel winning First Prize in A national Sugarcraft Competition run by Cake Couture earlier this year.
The semi-final will take place in the Town Square in Macroom on Saturday 28th September 2013. If you would like to offer your support to the girls their semi-final time is: – 3.30pm – 4.30pm. The Final will take place on Sunday 29th September 2013 at 3.30pm. We wish Deidre and Hazel the best of luck and success in their endeavours.
